Why are our electric bills going up about 20% in New Jersey and across the PJM region? This is why: electricity demand is growing fairly rapidly now, and we're not adding new supply fast enough to keep up. Why? Mostly because PJM itself is too slow to connect new generation & storage!

Cuts have consequences, illustrated. As seen on TV 📺

I reported on a new USGS study mapping risks to aquifers from orphan wells. @insideclimatenews.org insideclimatenews.org/news/0405202...

"The authors found that Pennsylvanian aquifers, which span several Appalachian states including Pennsylvania, present the 'maximum confluence' of risk factors."

A new study from the U.S. Geological Survey finds that groundwater in Appalachia, the Gulf Coast and California is susceptible to contamination from orphaned oil and gas wells.

BLOG: Senior Fellow @johnhquigley.bsky.social writes that government actions favoring fossil fuels and stunting renewable energy growth will raise energy prices and hurt U.S. competitiveness.
