“Desire paths” are unofficial trails, usually bypassing a planned path, that reveal the most convenient route to get somewhere. The people (AKA meanderthals) that tramp along these routes often wear away grass, creating the secondary path Walk this way for more on desire paths (a thread / tread)...

There’s a little lizard that’s taken up residence outside one of the TV room windows, occasionally running around the outside face of the window… My cat Sticker is losing her GD mind attacking it through the glass every time it makes an appearance. I think it’s taunting her. :)

This morning we drove to Bozeman Pride for @zoandbehold.bsky.social to speak, then went down to Yellowstone and saw incredible sights. Then, on the drive back to Missoula at 1AM, the heavens erupted. Naked eye visible aurora. The northern lights told us Happy Pride :)

And in other important Doctor news, Dr. Demento announced that he's 84 now and is sorta retiring. He's going to do retrospective shows through the fall and will do a few specials as well. The online site will continue to make old shows available there. Thanks for all the memories, Barrett!
