That last sentence is completely unsubstantiated. At the very least put 'some ministers claim'. Even that is incredibly loose. Pretty important whether it's Cooper or McFadden etc. Do 'ministers' really think that or is some adviser kiteflying. Especially with Blue Labour supposedly influential.

Guardian is still good on music, film and art. But otherwise, it's got little identity, not edited strongly because it's about survival via clicks (important but still), held hostage by its lefties, its centre left are mostly knackered and its news is stale. & whoever decides on its front!
