Yeah that's a fair assessment. I agree that we can use him as cover.
It's one thing I see as an improvement this year - we seem to have options & cover in most positions. Should serve us well as we go into the post Xmas run in. Could do with a couple of incomings, I'd like an old fashioned No 9 🙏

I have to say I didn't think Guilavogui had that great a game really. Feel quite bad saying this, but I thought he looked a bit rusty. Hopefully he'll settle in to things with a bit of game time 👍

Looked bright didn't he. Quick going forwards too 👏

Yes exactly Jo. I think yesterday felt a little 'underwhelming' as a performance, but then really Harrogate played solid defensively, and credit to them. As we've seen in the Spurs game, it can sometimes take quite a long time to break teams down.

Yeah, I get that sometimes commentators might want to jump on the FA Cup bandwagon and root for the minnows - its part of the charm, but Warnock was just plainly anti-Leeds last night.
Even more confusing when you factor in him being an ex-player 🤷♂️
comment in response to

Yeah although it was very underwhelming for us, you've got to doff your cap to Harrogate - they were very organised in defence.
For me it just underlines our inability to break down teams that play the low block 🤷♂️

Surely not 🙈😂

Got taken to my first game by my Dad in the 60's, he started the lifelong relationship for me. Went to every home game when I was at school in the late 70's & early 80's.
Then had a Kop season ticket in the Cellino mad years, but gave it up. So maybe I'm a real stupid fan 😂

I've thought the same for the last 3 seasons. Every time the ball gets played across the back, I'm panicking about where Mes is or what he's going to do.
I've stayed away from any pile on of players, but there's too much evidence in this particular instance.
Sad, but I think we need a change.

Yep, I'm with you on that one Diddly. Feels different this year. How many times last season we played well & came away with nothing. This year is more about grinding out results. Sometimes you have to win ugly.
Long may it last 🥳

Great battling mindset tonight. The difference this year - we can win ugly. I couldn't count the amount of times we played well last season yet came away with nothing 🤷♂️ #ALAW

Merry Christmas to you too Erik 🎅🎄👍 Hope you have a good one, and LUFC have a good run from here 🙏

Yes the new arrivals have been impressive. Ao Tanaka has to be the pick though doesn't he - calm, good eye for a pass and he fits in perfectly. I just hope we can hang on to him if others come sniffing 🙏

I agree completely with your assessment, and I would add that (in my opinion) the squad is sharper this year. Last year we had a decent team with 3 stars - this year it seems different, everyone is chipping in and working for each other more.
Long may it last #ALAW #LUFC

I think your assessment of Le Mes is so very close to how I feel about him David.
Every time our defence pass back to him I feel anxious.
As you say, he's somewhat stale, and he's both genius and inept. I don't feel he's a safe pair of hands. Sad really.

Not great today, but at least we salvaged something. Please can someone have a word with Bogle to ask if he can look up before passing / hoofing it 🤷♂️
comment in response to
post
Yeah I'd agree with that Harvey. In all honesty I was expecting Preston to play exactly like they did. Mes should've done better with their goal, but we weren't at our best. I thought Bogle especially was poor, but there were others not at it.
But we'll get games like this #MOT
comment in response to

Not a great display on the whole, most seemed a bit sluggish today. I thought Bogle was especially poor, not looking when passing & giving it away too often.
That said, Preston played a spoiling physical game, and the officials didn't help.
We move on #MOT

Absolutely awesome baller isn't he 🥳

Yep, it's very sad and unimaginative 😫
I suppose we've got the Open Air Theatre, there's been some major acts there recently.
But you can't help reminisc about the Futurist - I was at Kim Wilde too 😂

Just for me personally, there's always still an element of self doubt and self criticism. I think that's a lifetime affliction, but I've got more comfortable with myself, and actually realised I need to cut myself some slack.
It might be worth reaffirming to yourself all the good things ?
comment in response to

Yeah I think it's all about keeping perspective.
We do need a freshen up at the front, a clinical striker and a proven No. 10
Easier said than done of course, but I still think we'll be alright #MOT

Hats off to you Jack - you called it 👏

I dont see why we can't play Willy & Dan more in games together (exception being Swansea), it seems like it's always either of them but not both at the same time 🤷♂️
Hopefully it's because they're similar players & maybe it's resting that's key.
Mind not made up on Aaronson.

I'm thinking a bit more cagey. Possibly a 1-0 win. Obviously I hope it's more what you think Jack 😂

Yeah it's annoying isn't it.
I've just had a couple of crypto currency experts & some woman with absolutely no link to football 😫

Exactly the same here Matty.
I voted in the General Election, but that's it now - I've no interest in Politics any more and happen to think they're all snakes.
Football & music is the way 🥳 #ALAW

Isn't that the truth.
Just starting to notice the occasional political post on my timeline.
Might have to start flexing the 'block' finger 👉
Why can't it just stay football & other interesting subjects 🤷♂️

Fashion atrocity is probably an apt description 😂
Trouble is, in those days it was the norm.
Good job I'm all suave & sophisticated now.
I think I aged 10 years yesterday 🤣

I was there in the Kop as a 15 year old lad, flares, denim jacket with club patches sewn in, and a yellow blue & white beeny hat, scarf round the wrist.
Those actually were the days 🥳👍

You know, I thought exactly the same. The Swansea manager was very refreshing in his post match summary.
Good to see, but also good to win 🥳

Well put Dan. Refreshing to see Swansea play open football & not the dreaded low block/bus parking.
I genuinely thought we'd knacked it, but that's why I love this club.

Wow, some game wasn't it. Thought we'd thrown it away 😂 Never done the easy way, but - top of the league 🥳

Yep, got to agree with you there - he's too static. He's an ice cold finisher, but seems slow & off it.
We can come back this 2nd half, but need early subs.

Let's hope it doesn't get too tetchy Freddie. It's alright to feel disappointed isn't it, but arguing with your own is a step too far for me.
Fingers crossed we'll be ok & it won't be an issue today #ALAW

I think it's the stars that could be aligning, the possibility that we could go top.
It's times like these that we go end up doing something Leedsy isn't it 🤦♂️
Keep the faith (says he 😂)

Hi Sam, that's great advice 👍
I generally try & have an escape plan formed, and in fairness to all of my friends - they're aware and super supportive. Doesn't help that awkward feeling you described so well though, but I can live with that.
Need LUFC to get 3 points today 🥳

100% get that.
I start getting uneasy and stressed leading up to any big event.
In fact, already dreading one this coming Friday, talk of an extended bar late into the small hours.
Will grit my teeth 😂

I sincerely hope we never see another Ipsbitch again. The sheer amount of late bloody winners 😫 Was a nightmare.

Yeah, not been a good few years for Lewis. Maybe a change in fortunes with Ferrari 🤷♂️
I think my change in being in the Max/Red Bull camp was the petulance really. In fairness I'd just like an open and exciting battle.
Following LUFC can be challenging can't it 😂 Wouldn't have it any other way.

Big congrats on the 3 years Sam 🥳 So F1 - a few years back it was Max, but recently I've wandered over to Lando. You ?
