I don't think Trump is being blackmailed or bribed by Russia. I think he genuinely believes that a richer, bigger country should be able to do whatever it wants to smaller neighbours, and that Ukraine's defiance of Russia spits in the face of some imagined gangster-capitalist proper world order.

The MSM never praise Labour. It’s been a shock to me how little of the ‘good stuff’ is shared and therefore known about. Even the 2.2m extra NHS appointments barely made a ripple. I keep Lists of the things I hear about. It’s a long list. Rest assured there’s a lot of progress.

Pretty disturbed by some of the Kremlin framing on the Trump talks being bought by parts of the media worldwide. It’s as if the genesis of the war is entirely forgotten. This isn’t a conflict which needs mediation. It was an unprovoked act of aggression. It could end tomorrow if Putin just withdrew.

I really like Lisa Nandy. But she was never earmarked for Culture Secretary. She isn’t tackling the BBC or the MSM. They need to be held accountable. She doesn’t seem to have what it takes. I hope they can find her something else. But it’s not this.
