Someone help me understand how you cannot intercept this misrepresentation head on. The basis of this bill is to continue tax cuts which originated in 2017. So, keeping tax rates what they were THROUGHOUT the Biden Admin. When we would all agree - we ran huge deficits. How can keeping tax cuts

15 years ago, if you had asked me - which member of Congress would be the worst choice to pull that storm-the-Congressional-office, we’re looking for rioters, we don’t need a warrant? It would probably be Jerry Nadler. In 2025, this stayed under the radar for 48 hours. Still isn’t a story yet.

I've been watching this one since I saw the amicus brief of former legislators, some profs, and judges. I'm going to peruse the standing section closely. The statutory and broader "Congress holds the tariff powers" (my words) analysis seemed pretty clear to me.

Trump left West Point after his speech instead of staying to shake the hand of every graduating cadet, as is longstanding tradition. If Obama or Biden had done that, we would never the hear the end of it. But it's Trump, so reporters don't care.

This is all correct (and you should read it) but to be fair - the majority was just calling out an implication of their ruling that had been repeatedly raised below. They didn’t invent the connection - they just recognized the need for a fix. (They don’t yet have one.)

The last 2 World Cup sites were Qatar and Russia (22 and 18). Qatar was supposed to invent outdoor AC to deal with heat (didn’t happen). Russia in 18 was…Russia. FIFA not exactly a reactionary org when it comes to host nations being less than someone’s ideal. Hopes officially not up on this one.
