The problem is, that basically only one country have a very big experience in EV school buses, and it is China. Europe has a lot of experience in EV buses in general.

Italy is very badly hit. So much cities offers houses for €1. Most of them need DIY, but often in a good location. I thought that Casanova was Italian 😆

How can anybody be that stupid to believe Canada don't have any refineries? I live in a small country with 6 mill inhabitants, we do have 2 refineries.

If negotiations between the US and EU breaks down, the first thing the EU will put tariffs on is soybeans. 80% of soybeans imported to the EU, is from Louisiana, and it is where Mike Johnson is from. Maybe the farmers can get him to do something.

The US needs a central federal procurement department, that can negotiate prices direct with producers. With a 300 mill population, you should have a good chance for some heftig rebates.

By coincident, I have just read an interview with EU's energy commissar, he is Danish like me. He's name is Dan Jørgensen. He said that they are working on skipping the last gas from Russia. But Slovakia and Hungary are against it. BTW, 25% of our (DK) gas usage is from Biogas.
