Implement a 100% tariff and ruin a movie. Fourteen Samurai

Yes, indeed.

There seems, in UK politics, to be a far greater willingness to adjust ‘speed’ (eg: ‘we need to go further and faster’, or, conversely, ‘the lesson is that we went too far too fast’); than to think about whether we are heading in the right, or the best, direction.

On Brexit - the most lethal Tory, Telegraph, Murdoch and ultimately Putin-incubated policy ever conceived - Labour has unctuously fallen behind Farage. It has destroyed the Tories, rendered 🇬🇧 weak and irrelevant, and will soon make for the shameful and humiliating final chapter in Labour’s history.

😳

Could Labour be fucking this all up any better? Why??

Terrific piece by @joxley.jmoxley.co.uk, and exactly right, I think:

Wish the Blair wotsit would shut up. Ego > value.

Carney and Trump are a neat illustration of the huge difference between strength and aggression.

"On the doorstep people don’t make a distinction between graduate visas & small boats" This is: a) objectively wrong (plenty of polling evidence) b) suggests utter contempt for electorate's thought processes c) is a dreadful way to make policy Otherwise fine www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
