On Tuesday, I'm off to see Dame @wmarybeard.bsky.social give a lecture at NYU - which is just a few blocks from my office. I'm really looking forward to it although the mate I was supposed to be going with, the silly arse, contrived to book to watch on Zoom.

The Copplestone Back of Beyond range is fantastic but it lacks some suitable figures to do a proper platoon. After many years of thinking about it, I've finally made some bombers and rifle-bombers. Not exactly works of art but they'll paint up OK. #spreadthelard

Started on Black Redcoats by @blackredcoats.bsky.social this weekend. HM Corps of Colonial Marines in the War of 1812 (or Anglo-America War as Mr. Taylor calls it). Excellent so far and an SP scenario in just the first few pages. Recommended, I even started painting. #spreadthelard

A big box of laser-cut mdf has arrived from Dunfermline. Usual great service from @warbases.bsky.social . #Midgard Stage 2 can begin. I ask that the sabots not be glued - I replace the bottom layer with thin plasticard. The bottoms will be used for movement bases for "awkward" units.
