I never got a chance to get out and see it but several of my friends did and said it was amazing. Pretty sure it was the ArtPrize winner (an art exhibition in Grand Rapids, MI) in 2014.

I feel the same way about enslavement language! Why is it that the παιδισκη in Acts 12 is a "maid" but the one in Acts 16 is a "female slave"? I'll give you one guess which one is enslaved in a Christian household. 😡🤬 (Talking about this very phenomenon at a conference next month.)

I will likely just stop posting, dig into the privacy settings and set everything that I can to "only me", and call it a day. Taking the app off my phone (and removing the site from my browser favorites) has already limited my access plenty.

I’m not convinced I’ll be able to fully delete FB (because there are pages I manage for work that I still need access to), so I may retain access to my Memories. We shall see.

My growing issue with that platform (and with Facebook, which I likewise left) is that I was clearly the commodity not the consumer. Those platforms are built for advertisers, not for users.

Nice! I've got to rebuild my rack soon (pull out some old gear and swap in some new stuff) but mine is of a very different sort (monitors and PA rather than fun synth stuff).

Nope. Done-done after I wrap up final grades for this semester.

I'm glad, for the sake of all involved, that going remote has become a viable option. I spent 3 years doing Classics at GV and they *never* shut down for inclement weather.

Them: "What do you do for work?" Me: "I work really hard not to engage in conversation with strangers on airplanes."

I wonder if they don’t because of copyright issues? (Cheaper to not pay for rights to broadcast?)
