I've been alternating weeks on the east and west coAst for the last month, and my sense of time is absolutely fried. Right now it is both 2:03am here at home but also 5:03am in Florida where I slept last night. Both are too late and somehow the vexing is compounded.

I love that Nerdstalgic made an entire video on how much Steven Seagal sucked at hosting SNL the one time. youtu.be/P7Pf8dwBz50?...

Addams Family Cereal (1991-1991): A promotional tie-in for the film, this cereal featured "spooky" shaped pieces and was advertised as having a "mystery flavor," which has been described as a maple-y combination of Honeycomb, Kix, and Cheerios. Many boxes also came with character-shaped flashlights

this whole fraud is going to be really funny years from now, in hindsight, but it's mostly just infuriating now

America, deck all nazis.

Re-elect Mike Haggar. New York needs a mayor who will beat criminals to death with his bare hands and eat food he found lying in the street

Flying cross country to visit family and bought this for the flight. I love the concept of an unauthorized biography of Martha Stewart by Jim Downey -- the other half of Norm MacDonald's Weekend Update, and of more recent "Jeffrey Epstein? The financier?" fame. Very excited to read this.

An absolutely lovely grey, cozy, drizzly day in Seattle.

hooray for three hours sleep. reality is totally normal. I'm at the Dutchman's, having a confusing conversation with Agent Jeffries, getting impatient with how long my tea is taking to brew

"No, YOU'RE bothering the seals!" I yell, being led away in handcuffs.

my day today from front to back, side to side, top to bottom, and start to finish.

We took preorders for the ROTT lunchboxes in September and they're shipping in March! I sat on top of LRG every step of the way and personally approved every asset in hopes they'd get to people by the 30th Anniversary and they're shipping in 2-3 weeks SO I'm calling this a win!

What's everybody's favorite "today fucking sucks, I'm going to go get lost playing something" game to play?

7am is so early to have your entire day ruined.

Most Looney Tunes characters are effectively indestructible but I don’t think that’s true for Pepe Le Pew. I bet if you ran him over with a car he’d just die.

this is one of the funniest things a national politician has ever posted. he live-tweets a tv show during an ongoing constitutional crisis and when someone tells him they find this irritating he’s like “hey listen, this show meant a lot to me when i was a 30-year-old boy”

This morning's reading is Room to Dream, the David Lynch biography.

An absolutely stunning photograph of a starfield by an astronaut on the ISS: www.reddit.com/r/astrophoto... My favorite comment: "It’s fucking nuts to me that you can pull out this kind of detail with a 5 second exposure while moving 17,000mph. I’ve had photos ruined by a gust of wind"

this just seems like a way to mass-register accounts to goatse restaurants you don't like

Creepy fucking van. "I have an extreme interest in children, a bus with blacked-out windows and professional lettering about reaching out to kids, and I self-identify as a renegade living outside of society's laws. Hop in, kids!" And why is 'lives' in "Youth 'lives' matter" in quotes?

Hey #gamedev folk, what are your favorite books to read to inspire you and get your creative juices flowing? Why? I'd never thought before to make a list, and I'm slowly poring through my collection to see what fits that description for me and why.

My new favorite shirt. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️

PSA: If you're an app developer and you ask yourself "Does this app need to send notifications?" the answer is "absolutely fucking not" and you should jump off the nearest, tallest building.

can't wait to play civ 7 like i play all the other civ games: exclusively play vanilla because expansion packs seem weird, play exactly the same style with the same civ for 1000 hours over the next decade, mostly ignore entire key game mechanics, and consequently never actually get very good at it

I got a few DMs thanking me for posting this over there. Maybe it’s corny to say this but I really think being even just a bit vocal in these sorts of environments is beneficial and helps people know they’re supported.

There's a store at the Baltimore airport whose name is simply "AMERICA!"

Pro-tip: Take mandoline slicers seriously.

it took way too long for me to realize it's not "Cretins Clearwater Revival"

Magnolias existed before bees, and relied on flightless beetles walking from one flower to the next to pollinate them. (Image: William Freeman)

So, I'm in Operations, and most game devs have no idea wtf Operations is. If you're the type of person who enjoys making a Sim City thrive while not using a infinite money cheat, you may be an Ops person. Other adjacent games you might enjoy: base building, Factorio, and the Sims #gamedev

if you’re doom scrolling and need something really good to read:

watching an old bond movie and you simply cannot tell me that this isn't mr bean

Word of the Day: GLISK (Shetlandic) - a glimpse of sun through the cloud; metaphorically, a ray of hope in dark times.

Cool job perk: I flew out to Baltimore this week for work to attend the Civilization VII launch party. I am very excited for this. I feed off of joy, and launches are wonderful experiences. I'm so proud of what the team has accomplished and I can't wait for the world to see. :)

Found one of my favorite food safety news clippings again

Arguably, water isn’t wet - wetness is the ability of a liquid to stick to the surface of a solid.

but not enough to be genuinely knowledgeable
