Cheers JP! I'd say something more profound but I'm actually quite knackered :)

This project was made possible thanks to a National Lottery Project Grant from @artscouncilengland.bsky.social, which has also helped fund free comic-making workshops for children and young adults in Gloucester.
I hope you'll join us in celebrating the end of a truly fantastic year! #ACEsupported

A massive thank you to @comicprintinguk.bsky.social for doing such an amazing job on this - and of course to Raffa, @jpjordan.bsky.social, Lucy, @anadapta.bsky.social and @willtempest.bsky.social for bringing my script to life in such beautiful fashion.
I couldn't ask for a better team!

It's unreal, JP. Couldn't be happier with what you and Raffa have put together. Honestly, as soon as the practical side of exhibition-planning is out of the way it's all I'll be shouting about.
The colour palette on this book is just wild. Thanks so much for the great work.

It's been a busy year but I'm immensely proud of everything we've achieved.

surprising and delighting people with your work for a long time to come. You've no idea what's around the corner. Could be something great ☺️
Take some time for yourself. The map is not the territory, and this place can be hard on people at the best of times.

I know how it is - and I've definitely been there. About a year ago I was really teetering on the edge of something bad. Again, I'll try not to be relentlessly optimistic for the sake of it but I will say that your career is by no means 'over'. It's an evolving thing, just like you, and you'll be...

I appreciate it doesn't pay the bills but it's the little star I'm holding onto.

I'm sorry, Joe.
I'm not trying to be optimistic for the sake of it, because this depresses the hell out of me, but there's always the possibility in that worst case scenario that human-made stuff becomes all the more valuable. We have a quiet core of integrity that these companies can't tough.

It's exhausting. I should say though that Nich and I met our Lib Dem MP last week for a roundtable about this, and it was quite encouraging. I know he's not in the Government but he did share that we're not alone in this, and that there's a broad swathe of opposition across the main parties.

takeaway message of 'be good but also be lucky' rang true. As Nich is fond of saying, you can't control when the lightning strikes. You can only try to be ready for it. (2/2)

Then on to Fitzrovia to meet with superstar agent @rachelpmann.bsky.social, Daisy and Sarah at the Creative Artists Agency.
A whirlwind day by all accounts but thank you to everyone involved for your amazing company and kindness, and for taking a chance on two comic-making weirdos.

This might be slightly off topic but in terms of detecting food intolerances I've had success this year with the low-FODMAP diet, supported by a dietitian. It's hard going and works by a process of elimination but after two decades of symptoms its the closest I've come to identifying a cause.
