A lot of forums could do a better job just by having more moderators. Using Binge Mode as an example… if they had allowed more community moderators they wouldn’t have been so stressed about not having time to moderate.

I think the biggest problem with online forums is that they don’t moderate enough. Americans have bought into this nonsense narrative that “free speech” gives them the right to say whatever they want with no repercussions and it’s made all public places super toxic.

Politics touches everything and having “no politics” safe spaces actually leads to people not listening to each other and also not being able to hold civil conversations with those with whom they disagree.
