Show this to any of the right leaning people and they would scream indoctrination lol. Hopefully more of the younger generations are being brought up this way.

I hate to admit this but it took me a minute lol...but it's awesome !

Well they've already shot a reporter. Granted it was with rubber bullets but the sentiment is the same. Watching anxiously from Canada and hoping the good prevails.

Hahaha, good one!

I don't understand the hostility when it's actually a good idea. It would lead to a fair representation of the electorate and likely never result in a conservative government ever, since most Canadians are more left leaning. Not sure I see the downside. Unless I'm missing something here.

I think that holds true for a large portion of domestically born folks as well.

Although I would agree with this, I feel like a lot of the people in those positions (dudes with guns) are there for the power and authority that only compounds under this administration. People like this don't relinquish that power willingly. Hopefully there is enough "good guys with guns".

Yeah I don't understand why that isn't being looked into honestly. It seems odd that every single swing state would go red especially with the numbers the Democrats were polling at. Something definitely smells fishy there. We have the same cults here anyway. Same crap different person.

Well shit, I should have known you were being sarcastic lol. Trump really is that awful I wouldn't be surprised if he had a lot to do with the way our election went.

As a Canadian I can attest to this being only partly true. A bigger issue was Pierre Poilievre's right wing anti woke rhetoric coupled with blatant lies and divisiveness. That said, a lot of Canadians fell for it because they wanted someone to blame for hardships endured over the last few years.

We did, just hopefully doesn't lead to yet another election in less than 4 years.

Nope, same thing happens in Canada too.

My understanding is that elections Canada manages federal elections only while each province and territory has its own management. My guess is the counting process is up to the province or territory to determine.

The one good thing about our electoral system really.

Votes in Canadian federal elections are hand counted in front of several witnesses and representatives from all parties......there are no machines involved.

Part of his "platform" suggests he is looking at changing the constitution to make government the final rule of law which would effectively remove any power of the supreme Court. If that doesn't scream fascism, I'm not sure what will.

Thank you! I feel like most people have lost sight of the actual problems. Crime is a symptom of a sick society. We used to look out for each other, now we act as if it's "every man for themselves". A cooperative society that works for the betterment of everyone will see less crime as a result.

Um, okay....

Anything else to add or are you just going to keep spamming the thread?

Unseat Poilievre Vote Cons OUT
comment in response to post
Fair point but it does make me feel better pointing out their ridiculousness

Well yeah that's what they want you to believe. It's their propaganda intended to target an audience who is so blinded by hatred of Trudeau and the liberal party so that those who are undecided will vote for Pierre. I mean, it's quite obvious if you actually put aside your hatred and think about it.

Protesting and doing things the democratic (correct) way has come and gone. I hate to say this but now it's time for more extreme measures. Take that how you will but protesting and voting won't work now. The majority of Americans support the 2nd amendment, maybe its time to consider what that means

Don't think banning X will do any good though. All it would do is provide more "ammunition" to the alt-right hate groups who would call it infringement on "free speech". Aside from the fact that "free speech" is not a protected right in Canada, they don't care about factual information just lies.

The man could literally unalive puppies in downtown Ottawa in broad daylight in front of a preschool and his cult followers would be like "at least we get to own the libs". There seems to be nothing else to their personalities no matter how damaging it will be to them.

I wonder how this is going to be spun into a negative by the F Trudeau/alt-right conservative cult.

Yes but this should be left at "we won't throw you into an El salvadorian gulag". The end.

Okay this is probably the best description of him I have ever heard. Bravo! 🤣

He is such a knob. Can't wait for this guy to disappear from the political arena. Modern Conservatives are shitty people but this guy brings it to a whole new level.

He can't unilaterally cancel it. He doesn't have executive powers like American presidents. It has to be voted on in parliament so reducing it to zero was the best solution to get rid of the consumer portion. To be clear, I'm very much against cancelling the carbon tax.

Yeah using a quote from a far right conservative organization isn't the gotcha moment you think it is. Clearly the conservatives are worried and you're here perpetuating the nonsense. Are you even Canadian?

He lives in Rockclife Park in Ottawa. Last time I checked, Ottawa is in Canada.
comment in response to post
Me too and I'm Canadian so I can't imagine how you all must feel
comment in response to post
He quite literally told everyone that if you vote him in, you'll never need to vote again.....he told everyone what he was going to do. People need to stop pretending to be surprised and start acting now to undo this disaster.
comment in response to post
Lol good, sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle and I certainly don't want to get mistaken as a trump supporter lol.
comment in response to post
Yeah, that was my poor attempt at sarcasm. Tired of people who keep defending this turd and his fascist agenda. The only people who don't believe this is fascism are among the group of people that still think it won't happen to them. When he runs out of not white people I'm sure he won't just stop.

Gestapo police acting with absolute power.....imagine that. So when does it become tyranny?
