My 1st Chris Makoto Yogi short film, beautiful images accent filmmaker's rumination on father's death; Fargeat makes powerful statement...again & again; lovely film with Bisset's best performance; neo-noir classic, Fiorentino should be starring in films today!

Interesting & enjoyable (but lesser) Capra-Stanwyck pairing; above-average horror flick with disturbing vibe but standout performance by Maika Monroe; Taiwanese-American coming-of-age film was the week's highlight; and very good Tracy-Sinatra film ruminates on redemption. All worth a viewing! Enjoy!

A wonderful pre-Code Stanwyck; a captivating Oscar contender with some solid performances; a criminally overlooked John Frankenheimer film with an extraordinary cast; and a decent Clint Eastwood courtroom drama containing echoes of "12 Angry Men."

We had a Greatest Generation and now we have the Worst Generation of Republicans. They deserve no respect, only shame and scorn.
It was all a lie.

'The Double Life...' is a beautiful, poetic film by Kieslowski. While she stays busy acting, Irene Jacob should be a bigger movie star. She has such a powerful presence on film. And the 'If Anything Happens...' animated short is devastating. Happy #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched
