I am a human. I believe that there are more dogs than wolves because kindness and cooperation are evolutionary traits that provide the greatest opportunity for species success. Working together multiplies muscle mass and problem solving.

I believe it stands as an indictment of toxic masculinity. Or at least promotes a level of cowardice seldom witnessed outside of Shaggy and Scooby.

Just wrapped a session. The party stole a relic as part of a game resulting in a devil being summoned and a race to save a friend. They also had an acrobatic contest with an urchin that drew a crowd, and the other urchins used the distraction to pickpocket onlookers. "Oh, shit. We're accomplices."

I have two sessions I am running, one tonight, one tomorrow. I'm super excited. Both take place during the Festival of Mask, a celebration of the God of trickery and thieves. It's like Marti-Gras but the pick pockets are swapping trinkets in and out of each other's purses and reenacting heists.

For what it's worth, I've never played Assassin's Creed, but in the City of Baldur's Gate I have been petting Scratch, the best boy, right before having Karlach pummel Elon... I mean Enver Gortash with a giant hammer.

The ability to empathize and work together is why there are more dogs than wolves in the world. As humans, we evolved to be social to thrive. It's survival of the kindest. It's not just an awesome way to be, it's also how we outmatched predators in our history. And in our future.

It's legitimate.

Putting on my most condescending tone: Mansplaning is a contraction of the words "Man" and "Explaining". It is a practice that allows people to form biased opinions based on anecdotal observation or poor interpretation that denies lived experience or evidence because they have a Weiner. /S

Have you tried listening to Mother Love Bone? It might help. Sometimes I listen to Mother Love Bone, and I am in a better mood afterward. Capricorn Sister is delightful, if you don't mind songs that are self indulgent. And that are 180°s from Marcus Aurelius.

There are not enough heart reactions for how much I love this.

I just posted that I once saw a toddler hit themselves in the groin with a ladle, and that this was so much more cringe inducing.

If you want to impact a narcissist, you ignore them. But you should be there. It's childish political theater, but our political process is basically professional wrestling at this point. I recommend "silent disco". Wear outlandish outfits, headphones and dark glasses, and ignore him as he speaks.

That's the quote I want to use describing my next novel. Of course, I don't write novels.

To which my friend replied: "You call THESE my social betters? THIS is the best of a meritocracy?"

I've decided the expression says: "I think I left the oven on... In a house that I moved out of ... When I was 15."

We're going to require a metric to distinguish between the amount of guano that constitutes insanity as opposed to the amount that just makes people annoying.

How shall we test this hypothesis?

The expression on your face in that photo is delightful. Not even sure why, but it makes me happy.

"Sounding smart to dumb people" reminds me of the quote "rudeness is a weak person's imitation of strength." Also, thank you. 🙂

Okay, then why *am* I a genius? Or were you talking about somebody else? Okay, maybe I'm not a genius. I'll see myself out...
