It’s not about numbers. It’s about the %. Muslims make up a tiny % of the population but over index in grooming. It’s basic maths.

What are you talking about 😆

You should try living in China if you think Chinas has a higher IQ.

Wagner’s was Hitler’s favourite composer. You hate him too? Need I mentioned China’s human rights abuses? I love China but the authoritarianism of the government is not ideal.

Sound left to me.

Let me finish on this. I define sex by gamed and chromosomes. Unless you are intersex, that’s all. You can wear what you want and call yourself what t you want. But in my eyes,a trans woman is a feminine man. And that’s fine.

A tragedy? What is? That 100s of thousands of young men have turned away from depression, drugs, resentment, isolation, and hatred of woman becuase Jorden encourages them to pull their finger out and take some realisability? Oh boo hoo
comment in response to post
What issue is he resolving? Intent trans issue he barely says anything other than biology is a reality, we should be compelling to use pronouns, and kids shouldn’t transition

I don’t live in fear. I just don’t want a woman who doesn’t have a single X chromosome are male gamed in her body to tell me what the male experience is. It’s female who are scared - they are the ones who are having their achievements and private spaces stolen.

How about I identity as black then? And if black peoples say I have no idea what it is to live as a black man, I’ll show them your message ?
comment in response to post
I would address them using the name and pronoun they preferred in real life. But it’s not a right to enacted on me. I choose to do out of politeness. By forcing me to use preferred pronouns, and taking the choice away from me, it feels like the law is forcing me to accept their ideology.

At least lorenzo can have a civilised discussion without resorting to name calling.

I said people cling themselves my sex when they aren’t is my business. Even if you don’t agree, it’s a legitimate point of you. You are the reason trump was elected.
comment in response to post
Pretty successful for me.
comment in response to post
And btw don’t get all offended, you started this by calling me creepy in the first place.
comment in response to post
Look at your profile photo and dare to call me the creepy one 😆
comment in response to post
Why? I am a man and frankly it is offensive that a woman could ever think she could understand what is to be me sex. Just as I can’t understand what it is to be a woman. Trans men erase and dilute my identity. That’s my business. And even if you don’t agree, it is a legitimate point of view.

We didn’t touch dog shit before we knew about bacteria. We invented bicycles before we understood fully how they work. We sorted ourselves into nuclear familiar way before studies showed how beneficial they are for children. Don’t underestimate human intuition and instinct.

When it results in people pretending to be a sex they are not, it is very much my business.

Incorrect. Very few biologists except the ideologies agree with you. I’m worker in pharma and healthcare for a number of years.

Common sense is common sense for a reason. Wisdom is encapsulated in stories, ideas and language, shaped by mimetic evolution over thousands of years because it is so useful. Not all common sense is true, but you need a strong case to challenge it.
comment in response to post
I don’t expect you to be objective about this.
comment in response to post
I know my biology. And the vast swathe of scientists and scientific literature agree with me.
comment in response to post
And anything on the subject of trans, I think is just common sense. You don’t need a degree to know chopping someone up to look like a gender every cell in their body is literally programmed not to be will cause trouble.

But many academics need to delve into areas outside their specialism. It’s the bringing together of novel disciplines that creates breakthroughs.
comment in response to post
For example, he isn’t a theologist or philosopher. But in his it interviews you can see him learn from experts, and use his lederhosen in psychology to make really interesting leaps. The intersection of mythology, theology and psychology is genuinely fascinating.
comment in response to post
But isn’t it quite clear he isn’t an expert in many topics when he does his interviews? Jordan real skills his the width of his knowledge, his able to link together themes across different disciplines, and his ability to ground it in practical advise.
comment in response to post
But let me know if I’m missing something particularly bad.
comment in response to post
Just had a brief glance through. I’ll look in more detail later, but it seems mostly to be criticisms I’m aware of - language which is more pugnacious than I would use, but not necessarily wrong or problematic.
comment in response to post
Honestly, if you tell me something he said which is false or harmful, I’ll agree with you. I’m not blind, and Jordan isn’t a prophet. But I personally didn’t hear any falsehoods.
comment in response to post
Okay tell me what the false claims are.
comment in response to post
Well what are his key themes then? Becuase I can tell you from personal experience this is what helped me and thousands turn their lives around.

Eg ‘dragons are real’. Life will throw disasters at you. But if you root yourself in your family, your job, and your community, when the ‘dragons’ come (the death of a family member?) you will be more firmly routed to weather it. The only point to quibble is ‘real’.
comment in response to post
You said he is in general giving grifter vibes. So I’m in general saying what his keys points are. And in any case, his dissection of the Bible and mythology is essentially showing how these truths have always been important to humans.
comment in response to post
Please take it from me as a guy who felt depressed, lonely, lost, and floating through life, these simple truths, packaged along with some simple psychology, philosophy and mythology, helps to gain some perspective, be proud of who I am, and work hard to make myself and the people I love happier.
comment in response to post
But what part of what he says do you not agree with? Be part of your community? Take care of the people you love ? Be grateful? Work hard? Tell the truth? Take your health seriously? Make your bed and create structure? Respect women? It’s all just common sense that many men have forgotten.
comment in response to post
Why do you think he is trying to be complex? Have you studied any Jacques Derrida? The post modernists Peterson critiques are by several orders of magnitude more pretentious. They say the about of people who can actually understand Derrida can be counted on two hands.
comment in response to post
Both men are having different conversations. Dwarkins is saying fire breathing lizards are not real. Peterson is saying what they represent is hyper real. Both men are correct.
comment in response to post
Why is saying dragons are real postmodern? Dragons are obviously a metaphor for the innate human need to overcome challenges. A post modernist would say no story has intrinsic value, and the numerous dragons fables have no more value than a takeaway menu.

When has Jordan ever shown misogyny?
