Every day, I think of the beauty of A Plague Tale: Requiem. The story, the presentation, the score. All wonderfully working off of each other to craft an astoundingly powerful and compelling video game. Asobo really knocked it out of the park, especially for a smaller studio.

I just realised something about American homes. New homes are very large but in them are fake wood doors, fake wood trim, windows with fake muttons, fake window shutters, fake wood flooring, fake tile flooring. All so to have a large home to portray wealth that isn’t there. Quantity over quality.

I love how we Americans are being told to accept austerity measures by oligarchs.

Does anyone really even have Duolingo Max? I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would get it. The explanations used to be free! Now they’re behind a super duper max premium paywall that even those who pay for Super cannot access.

Shell was worth going to when T-Mobile Tuesday yielded 25¢ off per four litres and using the app added an additional 10¢ off every four visits. Sometimes with stacks I’d score 50-60¢ off. Now that T-Tuesday only nets 15¢ off, there’s not really much of an incentive anymore. Boo!

Yet another reason to prefer Apple Maps. Fuck you, Google.

Taylor Swift at the game doing her part to make sure that the Eagles won. #nfl #superbowl #harrypotter #snape

Taylor Swift is secretly, under her breath, cheering on the Eagles. #superbowl

I’m rooting for the team that hails from a city that has better human scaled infrastructure and isn’t a car dependent hellhole. So… Philadelphia. Sorry KC. Urban Renewal destroyed you. #superbowl

The Expanse remains one of my absolute favourite series ever. One of the best hard sci-fi around. The fact that it was cancelled twice and came back each time is a testament to how awesome it truly is. Hopefully it will return one day and complete the story, as it rightfully deserves.

Why don’t people care about the kind of world that they’re leaving to their kids? Why litter? Why not consider the benefits of recycling? Why not reduce needless single use waste? Why not opt for better options when possible? I don’t understand the mindset of those who don’t care at all.

For the people in the back…

So I take it that Silo is going to embrace the second book by spending a lot of time in the past. Good! The second book was a nice way of explaining how the silos came to be and leading up to the story from the first making a good transition to the third book. Maybe they’ll do flashbacks too. #silo

Why has it been normalised for companies to sell products, often costly, and then require a subscription to use the physical features of said product‽ Nest, Nanit, and Snoo bassinet comes to mind. High upfront cost and the gall to require a subscription for functionality.

I still don’t have a trending feed on this app, despite having read from the developers that it’s available.

I’m just so impressed with how well presented Outlander is as a historical fiction. I like so much that the show runners stick as closely to the time period as possible with how society was structured and don’t push much contemporary norms on 18th century matters. This is how hist. fic. should be.

People will ruin perfectly good fudge and brownies by adding walnuts.

I see that the NY prosecutors are attempting to charge Luigi with acts of terrorism. This is clear means to avoid a jury trial thanks to the Patriot Act. Cowards.

I searched and searched but did not find a dye-free version of this medication to give to my child. Why do pharmaceutical companies insist on adding synthetic dyes? It doesn’t make kids want to med any more than dye-free and it stains whatever fabric that they spit it up on when given. Please, stop.

No, tourist attraction that I paid too much money for admission to go to, I don’t want to be coerced to take a photo at the entrance and get asked later if I want to pay $30 for a picture in the gift shop that’s also at the end of the attraction.

Intergalactic looks interesting but I’m not a huge fan of being needlessly advertised to. I’m bombarded with ads everywhere in real life. I’m bombarded with ads on the internet. I’m bombarded with ads when listening to some podcast shows. Why can’t I have a safe place without ads in video games‽

I enjoyed playing as Cirilla in Witcher 3 and I’m looking forward to doing it again in 4, despite my preferred ending of her becoming the rightful Empress. Though I do hope that it’s explained, within lore, of how she is able to take potions whilst having not partaken in the Trial of the Grasses.

I remember when having LTE meant something. Now when my service goes from 5G to even full LTE, it’s often so slow.

How anti-climatic it is to have evaded the police for a week after knocking out a member of the ruling class… to just get snitched on at McDonald’s, ordering a burger.
