I think my Major issue with DS9 is the arcs are all over the place. For starters the three main arcs are: 1) Bajor it's planet wide religion and it's relationship with Cardassia 2) The Marquise, and their tension between the federation and Cardassia 3) The dominion and the gamma quadrant.
