I've been watching a retrospective series on Ultima lately and it really reinforced my opinion that sometimes a game needs to anchor itself and just come out.
Iterative development is the way to go, but sometimes it's better to have 3 ships out there than 1 eternal ship of Theseus.

Some of those are only really problems because of over saturation.
Arkham combat felt great up until around Witcher 3 and Shadow of Mordor, but once I got tired of it I just couldn't enjoy it any more.

Eternal ran better on my 5700xt at a higher preset than Dark Ages does on my 7900xtx lol.
2016 and eternal were optimized extremely well and didn't have the performance killing garbage known as Ray tracing.
