That's great - any pushback on what the GOP is doing is good, and if they want to come over and join the cause, they're welcome. (Chasing after them and modifying our own positions in order to create some apocryphal Big Tent, OTOH, is not welcome.)

Agreed, they can take time, and decide for themselves what issues are important and how they feel about them. It's not that we wouldn't want their votes, it's that we shouldn't be chasing those votes. Let's plant a flag (or tent pole) in the moral center and rally people around that.
