Nintendon't Classics is the only true way

They've got a pretty great backwards compatibility track record. GB -> GBA GBA -> DS DS -> 3DS GCN -> Wii Wii -> WiiU NSW -> NS2

So how does he want us to wake him when BG3 is announced? Shaking, bucket of water?

Yeah, the only other "Nintendo Switch 2 Editions" so far are a few third party releases. No Man's Sky, Fantasy Life i, the new Rune Factory.

Fingers still crossed for those Dreamcast and GameCube RPGs starring Ages and Odnetnin.

Fanboy of Steven Moffat's time in general. Even Rowan Atkinson doesn't make a bad Doctor then.

"Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported" is pretty different than "most switch one games not work".

Worth noting that Switch 1 launched at 29980 yen, so it's a pretty hefty lift there too. The yen is weaker versus the dollar than in 2017, though.

Note it says "Sold and shipped by Sunrise Mall", so that IS a scalper working through Walmart's system.

I bet that caused a lot of confusing deaths for players.

Both systems at medium brightness, viewing same screenshot.

OK, here is an annoying thing. After the transfer it did indeed try to start downloading every damn digital thing I had. So I've stuck it in airplane mode to stop it and am going through spending several clicks each to cancel 100+ downloads.

Transfer still ongoing, but this just arrived.

Waiting on system transfer now.

A lot in here. And fingers crossed the code doesn't get scratched up.

I'm not home yet, but they met Grandpa walking the dog.

With any Switch 1 or 2 you can always just sign in with your Nintendo Account and later transfer any saves you want by either local wireless between the systems or cloud saves if the game supports it and you're an NSO subscriber.

Made me wonder if the placement was adjusted for right-to-left languages, but would you believe Laverne and Shirley in Arabic and Persian is not lighting up the search results?

I think they're just calling back to posts like this:

Well, it does have a 12 year head start.

The NS2Es do have other extras like Zelda Notes in the case of BOTW/TOTK, but I think it's a bad look to gatekeep the tech improvements behind DLC people may not care about, and indeed makes the $70-80 physical NS2Es look like a joke, versus just buying a $60 Switch 1 game with free upgrade.
comment in response to post
However, we're now seeing the results, and some of the free upgrades look really really good. Super Mario Odyssey seems as improved as Breath of the Wild, but they're not charging $10 for it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-w7...

I have sometimes said NS2 month 1 has a good chance of being above Wii U year 1, but it's possible it may only take NS2 day 1.

Should be delivered tomorrow morning here.
comment in response to post
Also extremely easy to track down, though, when you call up the Walmart and they know exactly who was delivering it to you.

Ryu, the most American guy I know of.

If they were doing that much it'd probably not be a free update.

PS5 is more expensive than PS4 but selling at the same rate.

Near end of generation Wii prices no, but standard Wii U price from 2012 was 80CAD.

It is a silly thing, but I am impressed how easy it was to check. Started out by me wondering if there was a record corroborating memory of a local foggy night on a specific date, and found that site which had data going back many decades.
