Tuesday afternoon I will be putting down my favorite cat. Merlin has been my buddy for ten great years now, but his liver has shut down, and he deserves to die with dignity, not full of tubes and choking on pills. RIP, my beloved boy.

Little Frieda has forgiven me! I am once again permitted to pet and cuddle her. It's absolutely true, there's no other pet out there that compares - - there's no love like the love of a cat!

i know a lot of people are like "live for spite!!!" and i 100% support that if that's what keeps you going but if it doesn't work for you you can live for a variety of reasons, including "read book that isn't out yet", "love", "step on a crunchy leaf", "look at the river", "pat a creature" etc
