That's Melly (with the tennis ball) in the background, and Rosie (she loves treats!) in the foreground.

Well done! It's an accurate representation because Matthews is once again nowhere near the slot.

That deserves a follow.

He also thought it was "within his rights" to "grab women's oussies" whether they wanted him to or not. What a putz. How much does this guy make? Enough to buy himself a spine, I hope.

How about "Fuck, no?!?"

I spend a lot of time in Alberta and it's shocking to me how many Albertans of Ukrainian heritage still love that pumpkin-caked (and pumpkin-brained) asshole (Trump)! It's beyond disconcerting.

I'm not watching (thanks for taking one for the team), but will this persuade any current UCP supporters to support other parties?

I guess that's the "alpha male" energy that Republicans like to talk about. What a profile in cowardice. What's that word those morons love to throw around--"cuck?" There's a profile in cuckship. Well done, Senator Thune. History will remember this.

I honestly don't think the English language has a word for how moronic, idiotic, psychotic, etc., this is.

No. We're memorializing the fact that one used to be able to actually "save" money at a Save-On-Foods location (owned by Saskatchewan-born Jim Pattison). Now, the prices are a bit "non-savey." BTW, the rink that the Save-On arena replaced was called the Victoria Memorial Arena, hence the name.

As a 9-year-old school kid in Vancouver, that one confused me for a long time. Then I took Grade 4 Social Studies. 😆

Well, if you look at a map, Canada is "higher" than the USA (Alaska excepted), so isn't it obvious that the water would flow down to the lower 48? I mean, iT's sIMpLe pHYsicS.

It's frustrating. BTW, I tuned into the Zoom this morning, and one thing I realized is that in the past, I subconsciously approached these bystander situations with the goal of not only intervening to remove the immediate threat to the harassee, but also to "teach a lesson" to the harasser. Thanks!

Sounds like teaching evaluations... "He gives too much weekly reading," "Weekly reading was a bit light," "He doesn't spend enough time explaining concepts." "He spends too much time focusing on some concepts." I'm with you--COVID is still with us, and will be for a very long time.

Et tu, PBS?!? Be best. Don't feed the malignant narcissist's ego.

It doesn't matter. People don't vote on the basis of policy anymore. They now vote on the basis of identity, and (to a lesser extent) on the economy. Many will hate every Trump policy but still for the GOP.

It's an absolutely terible idea, and the millions of dead/missing following the partition attest to that. But, at least you were moving people into separate states during that partition process. There isn't even a Palestinian state into which Palestinians could be ethnically cleansed.

It's all performative b.s. Had his vote been needed to get to 50, he would have happily voted for the nominee. Four years ago, he literally had the power to stop the dismantling of US democratic norms and institutions but chose to punt.

Indeed. The vast majority of US citizens are not aware that what is happening right now is a coup.

It is astounding, isn't it?

A poll in the lower-right quadrant suggests that that individual poll showed an INcrease in support for the Libs as compared to the average Lib support across ALL polls, while also showing a DEcrease in Con support compared to average Con support across all polls. Almost all recent polls show this.

The red maple in the middle signifies the average of Conservative and Liberal support across all polls. The y-axis measures deviation of Conservative support in any single poll from that average. The x-axis does the same for the level of Liberal support im any single poll. 1/2

May I add an addendum? Addendum: marrying someone of another ethnicity in no way absolves one of their racism.

We always offer at least a coffee, if not lunch, breakfast, sandwich, etc., which has always been greeted with a warm "thank you!" I think it helps that in our area of East Vancouver (Canada) many of the tradespeople we've dealt with have European (or Asian) backgrounds.

Yup. People criticize me (a climate realist) about still flying in airplanes. I do. Begrudgingly. The trick is to do whatever I/we can to help change the world in a way wherein my behavioural aspirations match my consumer choices. If there were zero-emissions flights, I'd be on those instead.
