City probably deserved to win it despite the difference in league position. Decent effort to be fair.

(Had already seen curlew and oystercatcher from a very brief visit to the coast whilst in Somerset last week)

Pretty sure Pidcock almost came off at about 1:10. Looked like an unpleasant drop to the left 😬

Nothing particularly unusual, but new ones for the year were redshank, dunlin, grey plover, bar-tailed godwit, brent goose, shelduck, turnstone, knot, ringed plover and sanderling. Oh, and stonechat which had somehow eluded me until now.

Think he specialises in filming daring descents. Thought they were both going to die about four times in that video.

Sometimes blowouts are terrible to watch. This one was enjoyable just because of how perfectly the Eagles executed everything. Total domination. Didn't even give the Chiefs a sniff.

Update: arrived at said Spoons. Ordered a pint via the app which took 25 minutes to arrive. Had a veg curry- pretty good actually apart from the horribly overcooked cauliflower. Woman next to me had a steak which looked like it was extracted from the fires of mount doom.

Excellent. It's really nice botanically there too.

Warburg is a really beautiful site.

Also tbh I'm not convinced the AirBnB business model is squeaky clean either. Just encourages more tourist accommodation and less housing for those that need it.

A few, yeah. Mostly way more expensive than the Spoons was. Sorta needed somewhere that would do breakfast early as I want to be out before 8 ideally. My annual spend at Amazon, Spoons etc. is pretty negligible normally so I won't kill myself for it as a one off.

I hate myself for it, but couldn't really justify the more expensive alternatives.

Weird to leave behind a job that I mostly enjoy, and we do have some interesting projects, but I can't do it forever. Working for clients is exhausting and the night time survey work isn't sustainable.

How did it go?!

Not been doing these lately. I have been walking in, just got out the habit. But here's a few pics. By and large, some beautiful mornings so far this year.
