As best I can tell, they’ve likely identified what subnets that TorGuard offers, and just blocked them. I’ve not tried any other providers, but then again I hate that region-locking is a thing and that I even have to have such hoops to go through

I think the big thing that’s super important is to acknowledge it, rather than hide it. Heck, even throw in a “hey, these translations are automated, your mileage may vary …” or something. Who knows, someone might want to help out and do some translations
