You’ve been kidnapped and a character from the last TV show you watched is coming to rescue you… Who will save you?

Man, looks like today was quite a day to be heads down, locked into a new video game. Just catching up now and… damn.

Technically Nine Inch Nails did play first on their tour with David Bowie.

I’ll never forget going to see Suede with @digistrategist.bsky.social but they had to cancel due to a death in the family so the only band we saw that night was the opener, The Cranberries.

Someone tell this double rainbow it’s supposed to be Bleak Week🌈

It’s a simple question, doctor. Would you eat the moon if it was made of ribs???

Facts. Life legit changed after one with bourbon maple ice cream at Crank & Boom in Lexington, KY. I am obsessed with having it again some day.

Is there a way to text 0 to STOP an entire party's messaging strategy?

This probably means what you think it means.

Yesterdog sold to a younger couple who hopefully have good intentions. “The new owners had to sign an agreement that the employees would keep the benefits [paid vacation and health insurance], and that they couldn’t fire any of them without cause, Lewis said.” www.woodtv.com/news/grand-r...

Jonathan Joss (Comanche, White Mountain Apache) did not simply die from a gunshot. He was murdered in a homophobic, racist hate crime by his former neighbors. He died saving his partners life. Honor his legacy-- both queerness and Indigeneity are inextricable to why he was targeted.

Everything about this is just fucking horrifying.

If this is my last post, know that I was murdered by a cat in a tuxedo.

Taking a sec to appreciate Letterboxd’s commitment to this basic act of leveling the discourse playing field. They ask all the biggest stars the same question everyone answers at the top of their profile—an impossible question, but one everyone musters some kind of response to. All hail four faves!

Spent quite a bit of time with this this evening. Like being in a bus with 500 other weirdos. Fantastic.

A+ album! The originals, often imitated, never duplicated, back in top form with this. Very happy to see it after such a long hiatus. #NowPlaying

That version of “Hang On Sloopy” was one of the first songs I ever learned to play & sing simultaneously (at 10)… and “Rock & Roll Hoochie Koo” is an all-timer of a jam. RIP

A line reading that lives rent free in my head (no GIF available): Tim Blake Nelson in O Brother, Where Art Thou?... "They loved him up and turned him into a ... horny toad." - OR - "Of course it's Pete, look at him!" Take your pick.

You better believe we’re coming back to the pizza place that plays music videos by @eve6.bsky.social

Knocked a couple off the bucket list this week in my #LastFourWatched

Belgian Waffles on U.S.

‼️

Don’t want to say too much but this is too wild not to tease (and sufficiently niche that few will care): I may have tape of a Silver Bullet Band rehearsal just days after Charlie Allen Martin got hit by a car. Crazy, right?

1000%

PSA for Chicago pizza enthusiasts - George's Deep Dish opens TOMORROW in Harwood Heights! I'm not even joking, THIS is the best pizza in the city. Was sad to move away from the Edgewater location when we left Rogers Park, so this thrills us.

Of course she gives us one of the best closets ever just by being the absolute most Natasha Lyonne.

This is kinda wild… the public library in my hometown opened a permanent exhibit this weekend dedicated to my family, who helped settle the area in the 1830s. This board describes six generations of my forebears and includes some details not even we knew!

thrilled that HBO max has changed brands three times instead of fixing this issue in volume difference between the “coming soon” / “previously on” / and the actual episode that has persisted for close to a half a decade now

I remember my grandfather giving me a vial of ash from the St. Helens eruption… kinda grim, in retrospect.

Spent too much time on this

Got this number in the summer of 2002. Cingular sales were offered in the Borders corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor but I was planning my move to Chicago so I requested a Chicago number.

Can’t help but wonder what my experience in an anechoic chamber would be; I do prefer silence (the conventional kind) in general to almost any ambient noise but think maybe my tinnitus would drive me mad in minutes in one of these.
