So shallow, so vapid, so uneducated, despite going to the Wharton school.

Somebody ought to write an exposé on Garland's term as AG. I doubt that he will come forth and explain himself.

Another utterly stupid remark by our president.

I'm hoping Trump will elicit enough "better angels of our nature" here in the states to overcome this disaster.

Be like John Lewis! He got arrested over 40 times in acts of civil disobedience, including as an older man in Congress. This is existential for our nation and Democrats are not acting like it.

Dems should also engage in civil disobedience, e.g. linking arms to block entrances of DHS, DOJ, etc. getting themselves arrested on purpose to draw huge media and galvanize public opinion against Trump and Musk abuses. Because of their status as members of Congress, they will get released quickly.

Absolutely definitely agree 100%. Democrats have been singularly unassertive and uncreative with limited exceptions like Booker, Sanders and AOC.

5/5 Extraordinary times demand extraordinary action. This is existential for our country. The opposition party are obliged to be a backstop against the destruction of our country. Asking members of Congress to have the courage to engage in a peaceful act of civil disobedience is not too much to ask.

4/5 Such acts would attract huge media attention, like Corey Booker's marathon speech, and galvanize public opinion against the cruel actions of the Trump regime. Congressman John Lewis engaged in civil disobedience, getting himself arrested over 40 times, including while serving as a congressman.

3/5 Senators and Members of Congress should link arms and block the office entrances of agencies like Homeland Security and DOJ and purposely get themselves arrested. They have inherent protection due to their status and would get released quickly.

2/5 I called for this during the incredibly cruel Trump 1.0 family separation policy, where children of migrants were torn from their parents with no plan to ever reunite them. Now we are illegally and cruelly banishing Venezuelans and others without due process to a hellhole prison in El Salvador.

An unforced error, as they say in baseball.
