That’s awesome! I’ve never been but I’ve heard it’s super cool. There’s another seed swap event in MHK the next day and I wish I felt up to braving the weather to attend either of them… but then again, I realized last night that I have 106 seed packets currently… so I think I’m good 😆

I completely agree, I genuinely hope for the best for newer generations and believe education is a giant part of that. just can’t fault them for weighing their options and deciding that the debt and time are too much for a tenuous outcome. Truly wishing that free universities in the US were possible

Please don’t view my unhappiness with the state of our country’s lack of care for other living beings outside ourselves as a means to discount the beliefs I hold. I’m happy for any cause to be the straw that breaks their illusion into reality. I just wish it were different.

Again, I don’t want to seem like I’m not in favor of your cause here, but while many jobs require a college degree, even more don’t. None of the ways I put food on my table in that decade after college required the education or debt that i accumulated in those four years.

Also, I think that the trade skills required to keep this country afloat, are ones that seem more appealing to a younger generation. They see a new way forward in how to make a difference, one that isn’t rooted in the education system, but in their living community. I want both for all of us.

Yes. But how many of us (myself included) worked for 10+ years post-grad in fields fully unrelated to our degrees, just to get by? Who is worse off? Not trying to push back in a way that negates your position whatsoever- I agree with you. But in a situation that seems lose/lose, what costs less?

I would agreed 100%, but also add in that hs graduates are fully disillusioned to the idea that a college degree will earn them success. Many don’t believe the time or monetary commitment is going to pay off, so the universities are having lower enrollment and making less money.

Since he's attending the game(after golfing today), I think it would be great if a bunch of the players took a knee during the anthem... Just for him.
I hope Kendrick takes a shot at him too.

oh gee the GOP is dismantling our democracy from the inside out, stripping rights away from trans people and initiating the steps to create the christofascist ethnostate… but at least we took the high road… phew

It’s so difficult because I have a lot of empathy for them, but I also need boundaries that aren’t being upheld rn. Truly it’s mostly a me problem in this scenario, but lawwwwd was I a crappy student sometimes 😅 sending love!
