It’s darkly amusing that the message to our team at the start of the year was stay focused, work smart and get things done, do less status reporting, so we can finish what we need to to get off the ground. So much for that.

I'm speaking in NYC and DC this week, and I will be masking!

Since millions of federal employees are presumably going to be sending emails to this address, this is awful but maybe un-sabotageable. They're just going to put some perverse and janky AI to the task of distilling data out of the emails. Whatever personnel changes result will be bullshit.

What if what the things they got done are classified? What if they work at a remote post with limited access to email? What if they’re stuck on the space station?

fleeing to space, where I can't be served papers regarding the care of my second- latest son, SpærDane Boring Company Sturmwulf, I think that's the one

Today, my 9 yo & I numbered all the dog poos along paths in a nrby chalk grassland field. We got to #45 & ran out of sticks. Dog poo presents health risks to humans, livestock, wildlife and even other dogs (if they eat it). Why do some dog owners think it's ok to leave their dog mess lying around?

The Society for American Archaeology wants to benchmark losses in the federal archaeological workforce and invites members and other archaeologists to please take this anonymous survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/HPDWBBK.

Never expected to meet 100+ fire community, cry with strangers. I also meet each home. Fell in love with Altadena, the mountains behind… so many gardeners, melted composters, espalier fruit trees… Dead tired from volunteer days crawling into glass, rusty metal, nails. Lead dust. Sweat. All in. ❤️‍🩹🌱

saying it again: if there are "conditions" on aid to california, no democrat should vote for any disaster aid of any kind to any state. all states get aid or no states get aid. that's it

Lol

The only man in history to have fifteen kids and be a virgin

From a space archaeology perspective, this slaps

In light of calls to cancel various parts of the Artemis program, including the Gateway orbital station, this is interesting news www.thalesaleniaspace.com/en/news/luna...

Who I'm rooting for tonight

Finally, ⬇️

One other point: one of the few viable SpaceX lines of business is Commercial Crew. Without ISS, Commercial Crew ceases to exist. This is just silly.

"Moments like the #4Nations Face-Off are when the glass cracks, the nets fall, and the pucks come hurtling at us at breakneck speed. There is no escaping the cries of nationalism, xenophobia, and fascism as they ring out from the stands." Read @admbeaumont.bsky.social 's op-ed here:

Just to clarify, Musk already has had a billion-dollar contract since June to deorbit the ISS. He's supposed to be developing a vehicle to do so. Is he saying he hasn't started that yet?

Oh yes, Homer’s famous “Tes Thdpssssps.” 👍🏻

The responses here are the clearest examples of how liberals have taken over Bluesky

“We can’t even buy the rakes, if we wanted to rake the forest.” @jjreport.bsky.social

Someone has made a Project 2025 tracker. There's so much to fight now and prepare for. Sharing this grab for archaeology, heritage, and conservation colleagues - we have work to do www.project2025.observer

Well 12 days later and they’ve walked it back.

Wearing your masks and getting your vaccines is an act of resistance

He only cares that numbers make him look bad

BREAKING: Indigenous activist Leonard Peltier released from prison after nearly 50 years

There's a union out there called AFSCME and they're busting their balls for you doing a lot of shit work you take for granted

Zibanejad and Kreider still won't play against each other 💘

It’s weird how we’ve memory holed the fact that Obama entered his first term with a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and a majority in the House and McConnell’s response was “We’re going to make Obama a one-term president,” not “there’s little we can do”

Once again banging my "the Indian wars were foreign policy" drum until I'm deaf in the ears.
