You see someone getting beaten in the street.
You don't stop the perpetrator. You may even say they have a right to beat that person because that person's cousin once punched the perpetrator when the perpetrator was beating them.
And you say you'll give the perpetrator a new bat when their breaks.

I voted for her. I tried to get others to vote for her.
But this isn't the sort of thing they could hedge their bets on.
It's hard to convince people you will make their life better if they vote for you while simultaneously refusing to say you will make their life better for fear of losing votes.

She'd have sat back & let it happen.
While they don't aggressively pursue the far-right agenda, the Democrats don't really resist them for fear they won't be able to peel away a few centrist voters from the GOP and/or will encourage higher far-right voter turnout.
It's been their SOP for decades.

Harris gave no indication she wouldn't sit back and let all that happen.

They're not fighting him.
They're rolling over for him.

If anything, they're beefing up the monster. They're rolling over for all Trump's awful policies. They're approving his appointments without a fuss.
All the while, they're sitting there thinking, "This monster's gonna be so big and scary. That'll teach those villagers not to vote for us."

For decades, the Democratic strategy has been to let the GOP be a big scary monster.
"Ooh, you'd better vote for us or the big scary monster's gonna git ya!"
And have they ever fought the monster? No. They WANT the monster to be big and scary.
Are they fighting the monster now? No.

No, YOU would be at brunch. Immigrants, Palestinians and LGBTQA+ people would still be having a bad time. That's why they didn't vote for either candidate. Neither was promising to improve their lives. Harris was promising to maybe try to not let it get really bad, but that's not the same thing.

Maybe if her strategy had been, "Let's get some of the 40% who chose not to vote." instead of, "Let's try to get some of the less than 30% who were going to vote for Trump no mater what we said or did." She would have gotten slightly more than 30% of the popular vote. instead of less than Trump.

If you lose to the most vile person on the planet and he wins with LESS THAN 30% OF THE POPULAR VOTE, that's on you. That's your fault.
You had a bad strategy.

It's cheesy, but I still found it fun.
Like the part where the possessed doberman yawns really wide and the stuff comes pouring out.

Trump is absolutely hollow.. He depends so much on external validation.
He's like one of those inflatable flailing tube men and needs smoke constantly blown up his ass or he crumples into a heap.
He is absolutely weak and without internal structure.

The cover of "Saving All My Love for You" by Whitney Houston was a favorite of mine. . .
. . . until I listened carefully to the lyrics.

By the time they passed back through, the land had naturally replenished and was ready for them.
And then the Europeans came and with them came the idea that land should be property and squeezed for everything that can be extracted.

The true natives of this continent migrated throughout the year, For the most part, they didn't have permanent cities, roads, or mass agriculture.
They settled in certain places for a while, gathered what the land produced naturally, supplemented it with small-scale farming and moved on.

No.
You need that money way more than some national publication that also sells ad space on top of the subscriptions.

This grift is the only thing Gaines has.
She was never a stellar athlete and obviously has no other talent or skill to fall back on.

And that's not even what you said. You said every human is entitled to healthcare.
Free healthcare for all means vile turds like Trumo, Musk, Stephen Miller, etc. would get it, too, but I don't care as long as everyone gets the healthcare they need.

The big problem is the Democratic party was taken over by liberals after Carter lost to Reagan and liberals don't think people are entitled to the basic necessities of life any more than Republicans do.
The only way they will give people without jobs a UBI is if they come in and do busywork.

It gave the impression of thin little claws or maybe cat-like sheaths claws would come out of.
I tried looking up what it was called, but can't find it.
Does anyone else remember seeing this?

I remember a short story I read ages ago about a group of people trying to take out a supercomputer that took over the world and the twist ending was they were all former millionaire CEOs who had built the thing so THEY could take over.
But when they switched it on, it solved poverty & inequality.

Expect to see the already lacking diversity in the information technology industry exacerbate.
Since the rich have chosen to use automation efficiency gains to hoard wealth instead of creating new jobs, the only remaining logical solution is billionaire taxes and #UBI.
