Does Knockout Monopoly mean it’s shorter than 3 hours?? We gave magnetic chess a go - frustrating but engaging amzn.eu/d/bhnLl69 was the resounding view (though my brother decided to be the ‘best loser’ when he realised he hadn’t won!). Board games for the win!

Not sure how unique it is now but combining attendance/safeguarding into ‘Attendance and Safeguarding officer’ has made a huge difference to us.

Absolutely agree, I remember this long, stretched out days as a kid that had boredom written through them but ended with creativity and imagination. Now my brain never switches off, permanent addictive stimulation.

Sadly I think they get the bit that is left over most of the time! Think it is really hard to balance when we are in such a ‘people-facing’ profession and you always want to give your best.

I agree, imposter syndrome is strong in teaching/education and ‘sacrificing’ sometimes seems like the only way to keep up. If people could see a way to do it without sacrificing so much I think they would but it can be very hard to see and even harder to set boundaries.
