Migrated from Twitter in search of my tribe again. Fiercely anti Brexit which has caused division, anger, hatred & hardship. Not keen on religion and greedy capitalism either. Oh & irresponsible & lazy journalism

She’s forced Apple to withdraw their end-to-end encryption on iCloud backups. Photos on those backups will now be more vulnerable.

The first thing all European governments should do is get off X, get off starlink and start investing in our own technologies and infrastructure.

Meanwhile the excellent folk at @desmog.com.web.brid.gy found that a hefty 85% of the Telegraph's climate coverage was skewed in a negative direction: www.desmog.com/2023/11/23/r...

The Daily Telegraph was at one point reportedly being paid *£750,000* per year to publish "paid-for propaganda on behalf of Chinese state media"...

As an independent, people-powered campaign, Stop Funding Hate has never sought nor received any government funding.
By contrast, the Telegraph has taken UK government advertising money, & reportedly received thousands from the Chinese & Russian governments /2 www.theguardian.com/media/greens...

Why didn't we join PEM? I've heard different explanations. That it was ruled out for having Europe in the name, that trade policy teams did or didn't want it, that specific individuals vetoed in the UK, that it wasn't felt worth asking for... probably then, nobody really pushed the case.

Can we join PEM? Well, I have spoken with folk with responsibility in the relevant parts of the Commission, and their broad answer was yes, but it would probably take some discussion, and not everyone would necessarily welcome this. It isn't just an EU decision, and all but one must agree.
