Many authors use the word 'leaden' to describe grey skies. PD James, Carlos Ruiz Zafón (albeit in translation) and CJ Sansom to name just three. It's a perfect word to describe a dull, overcast sky but I don't think that it is a word people ever use in normal conversation. Am I right or wrong? 📚👀

I'm not a luddite. I like technology stuff. I have lots of gadgets. But if I see one more thing today offering me the opportunity to use bloody AI to make everything quicker, cleverer, whatever, I fear I am going to throw everything out of the window. 😡

Our rescue cat Ollie has a variety of lovely sleeping places - a sunny window sill, various sofas, a nice fabric footstool, a bed, and so on. So where is he sleeping? Yup - on top of two scratching boards. You have to love cats.
