So am I. We’re lucky. Many children died. A friend is deaf, another partially blind due to measles. All born before the vaccination. People survived smallpox and bubonic plague too. They were lucky.

I write books set in Britain and I live in Scotland. I write British English. About 70% of my readers are from the US. Only one reviewer has said my book was full of typos, and gave examples, which allowed other readers to point out her mistake. I wouldn’t worry about it.

This was taken in late August. The harvest was late this year due to the bad weather. Usually harvested July-August for whisky-making!
