I once had to explain to someone in the military, in grad school, that undocumented people had rights. I had to ask him if “law of the land” meant anything if it only applied to some people on that land? If someone can be held accountable by the same law that grants rights, then both sides apply?

Just FYI, administrative warrants (like the ones used by ICE) are not judicial warrants (used by cops, signed by a judge). You do NOT legally have to open the door for an ICE officer with an administrative warrant no matter what the ICE officer says.

Woke up thinking about all the families separated & decimated by deportation. Like Tina Hamdi deported in 2017 from her Ohio hometown after nearly her entire life in the U.S. She had DACA & was torn from her two US citizen children.💔 Her deportation didn’t make anyone safer or fix our broken system.
