Every time you see a “New Orleans strong” commercial remember that, in honor of the Super Bowl, the city rounded up their homeless population, forced them onto busses under threat of arrest, and piled them into an unheated warehouse at a cost of $17.5M. $17.5M that could have been spent on housing.

I supported Second Harvest for years and whenever friends in other parts of the country asked how they could help Louisiana after a disaster, this is where I sent them. I don't think anybody was donating to cover the civil liability claims against the archdiocese.
