I was really susceptible to the whole "everything you like is stupid to 'normal' people" type of humor over the years, and internalized a LOT of shame over it. It wasn't just this show ofc, but dang, I still have trouble talking about myself or my interests thanks to that stupid cultural attitude.

there were often free figure drawing sessions between classes! What was I going to do, *not* take advantage of that? xD

My dumb ass didn't network through college like you're supposed to because 1) I was shy and 2) I was always like, "it's so expensive to be here, so I should be using every moment I can to work and study, not have fun-- I can make friends and have fun afterwards" which in retrospect was stupid, but 🤷♀️

2. Not being saddled with student loans probably did as much for my career as the education. And most of the helpful things I've learned have been from online classes and mentorships vs what I learned in a college setting. I probably missed out on a lot, though. Hard to say.
