I can’t save the world. I can’t stop what people are doing to us. But I can tell my silly little stories one song and narration at a time. I can create one safe space at a time for a while. I can try to reach out to those of us who need stories. It’s what I can do, so I will until I can’t.

I’m speaking specifically to artists not because some voices matter more or less, but because it can be easy to feel like a lack of recognition of your art means what we’re doing isn’t affecting anyone, and that’s simply not true.
