This is really cool! Would love to hear more about your work at some point (always down for virtual coffee with internet pals)
Trust & Safety became a weird culture war thing too, which I also understand given how behind-the-scenes it typically is. Part of why I think OSS could help rebuild trust

I totally understand there are unethical and scary things about AI, but big +1 on a small but extremely vocal part of bkuesky that make their visceral reaction other people's problems. I've talked to some people who are open to understanding the AI spectrum but whew it was stressful

stories and feedback like this helps both the morale of teams full of humans who have to review and investigate this stuff, and also help teams justify their budget and headcount to grow their child safety teams

The STOP CSAM Act’s vague liability provisions and weak #encryption safeguards will face serious implementation challenges, including constitutional ones. CDT will continue working to keep kids safe by protecting real privacy for all of us.

STOP CSAM is yet another bill (like the TAKE IT DOWN Act) that is made to SOUND good. And made to SOUND like if you oppose it, you're in favor of something horrible.
But it's an incredibly dangerous bill (especially the version that moved forward today) that would do tremendous damage.
