That's my old riding! How's the political mood in the neighbourhood? Do you think Bowman will hold it?

I really hope this all backfires on Ford. I so badly want him to experience an actual consequence.

Crossing everything and really hoping this early election call blows up in Ford's face... or at least reduces him to a minority government. It's all such a mess.

Was your polling station super busy too?? I am really, really hoping that's a good sign for my preferred candidate (NDP), but we are VERY worried our riding is going to flip to blue. 😫

Would you please start adding 'alt text' when you share all the amazing paintings? It's such an easy step, and benefits so many people. Thanks for considering.

I am suddenly very invested in the Corgi races!

A bit snarky, but there'll certainly be efficiencies to be had in, oh, not using taxpayer for legal costs (ie Bill124), not overspending on govmnt advertising, not bloating your cabinet and giving everyone big raises, not spending $1.8 B on Ontario Place, not moving the Science Centre...etc #OnPoli

I get it. I am sorry you are struggling too.

Dear lord! As a 12yo, I was minding my 9mo-old wee cousin. Ass over tea kettle down the wood stairs while holding her. I shielded her and took the worst of it. Mumbley-something years later, I still remember. She, thankfully, never has. I called my aunt in hysterics about falling down with the baby.

Whose Line-esque is RIGHT up my alley. I have become absolutely undone by some of their improv and still laugh about some if it years later. 🤣 Thanks again for putting this on my radar!

My partner is deep into a D&D campaign right now - he's the DM, and it's quite amazing the creativity, time, and care he's putting into it all. Sounds like a great show!!

I am completely ready for 'precedented' times. Uneventful times. Boring times. And, yes! Partner and I are leaning into comedies too, in the evenings, for a brain re-set. OMG! "Dimension 20: Dungeons and Drag Queens" sounds epically great! Droupout TV is new to me - thanks for mentioning it!

Thank you, Kalen! The cat cuddles are so helpful! And they're intuiting our higher needs at the moment, which is so sweet. I am stuck in this weird apathy/anhedonia space so tears haven't been happening. I've wondered if that would help? 🤣

Exactly that, Trevor! I've reduced my social media to only Bluesky, and reduced doomscrolling. But I am still staying informed via direct, reliable sources. Like you, I am trying to focus on what I can do, and have been volunteering on an election campaign here in Ontario. But, JFC!

What's helping me? Reading fiction. This is slow-going as my focus and concentration suck. But I read on. So far, it's all detective-y mysteries, but it's a distraction. The love of my amazing partner, which I am grateful for every day! Our 2 old snuggly, but sometimes fight-y, cats. 🤣 SAD lamp.

(I could've picked so many different highlights from the Ontario NDP's platform. I hope you will take some time to read it - there are downloadable PDFs available that have more details. EN/FR PDFs are in orange font, just above Stiles's signature in the intro blurb to the platform.) #OnPoli

There's a lot of good (again: not costed). For me, the standouts of the #NDP platform are: 1. Electoral Reform 2. Double ODSP & OW Rates; Boost Housing Support 3. First Nations Respect & Support 4. Universal Mental Health Care 5. Reverse OSAP cuts and convert all OSAP loans to grants #OnPoli
