Then what good are you? I am not trying to be sarcastic here but we aren’t going to have any more elections you won’t need money to run unless we do something NOW! Show your value if you want people to donate. What will that money do?

And the DNC supports campaigns. We need some new blood. We are being outmatched while republicans do whatever the fuck they want & democrats act like it’s normal. Our democracy is being dismantled in broad daylight by an unelected immigrant. Democrats have not done much but wring their hands.

And they can stop automatically supporting every incumbent democrat making it impossible to primary them with better people. We need people willing to fight. If you want to pretend that everything is normal you are no use to us.

Then get rid of Schumer and show us that the Democrats are willing to fight for the US.

You couldn’t even try to negotiate? Folded like a cheap suit, you should resign and hand over the party to those willing to fight

Fuck off, working families are being punished now with this joke of a gov’t. The gov’t is ALREADY shut down you absolute idiot. You lend legitimacy to them by voting yes for anything.

Rosemary was eventually sent to a convent, where she began sneaking out at night and going to bars. In her book The Missing Kennedy, Elizabeth Koehler-Pentacoff writes that the nuns who cared for Rosemary in the later part of her life believed that , Rosemary was having sex with the men she met.

I always heard it was because she was wild not slow. It was a not uncommon thing to happen to women then. Being committed or either by their fathers or husbands because they didn’t do what they were told.

I think they did it more because she wasn’t falling in line. She was willful which is worse.

I asked Ami Bera. I was surprised to see it honestly.

Too bad, California swings the other way and it takes a vanishingly small % of signatures to get a recall on the ballot…expensive exercise sometimes but I prefer that to not having it at all.

Can he be recalled? It is absurdly easy here in California.

Skip it! we should not pretend like this is a legitimate gov’t .

Then ban fucking junk mail, reduce service to a few times a week. Privatization is not the answer. I am not saying it is sacrosanct and can never be changed but privatization will just result in fewer services for people and small businesses
comment in response to

No I don’t think they will or if they do they will eventually fuck them over. Not everything can or should be privatized.

Right but creating an ‘efficient’ delivery system will disenfranchise people living in rural areas. FedEx and UPS use the USPS to deliver to a ton of places that they can’t financially support. So just fuck those people who get their meds and other important things via USPS?

Or they don’t have the time, kitchen or skills to cook. They maybe have a microwave or a hot plate. I volunteered at a food pantry and people would refuse food that they either didn’t have the means or knowledge to cook, like a whole butternut squash.

This is where your primary Dr is worth their weight in gold. Appeal, I have to do this every fucking year to get an MRI for my follow ups from breast cancer. It sucks and is one of many signs of how very broken healthcare is here.

And where has doing the right thing gotten us? Of course we don’t want it to become the new norm but we are witnessing the beginning of the end of our democracy. Long past time to abandon norms…

No one, I was speaking more generally of the justification for murder. We can’t say yet whether there will be any change based on this. I do think the Blue Shield reversal is interesting but totally possible nothing will change and we will all have forgotten about his next week.

A big one is ballots! Mail in ballots are a huge help for low income folks and rural folks. It allows people to vote who maybe wouldn’t otherwise. Now the USOS as it exists today is not one I would trust with something as important as a ballot.
comment in response to

Not always, I get stuff from Amazon that comes through USPS. I agree the USPS needs reform. We should charge junk mail folks quadruple what they pay now. That should slow down most of it. We don’t all need mail everyday either. But not having a public delivery service for mail is a bad idea.
comment in response to
post
Both UPS and FedEx use the USPS as final mile delivery service. They have 0 interest in delivering to every home in the US. And sending small package fedex is minimum $30/40 same with UPS. USPS is vastly cheaper. I think it can be fixed and we certainly need to charge a LOT more for junk mail.
comment in response to

Many people get their prescription medications this way and is the only guaranteed delivery system for people who live in rural areas. You might want to understand the role the USPS plays before dismissing it as obselete.

Own beliefs is doing a lot of work there. All murder is wrong. I do applaud him going straight to the top and not killing healthcare workers just trying to feed their families. I don’t support vigilantes but man do I understand this one in particular. I want to hear what he has to say.
comment in response to

Agreed but this is what happens when people feel hopeless. Do you honestly think any healthcare CEO will be tried for their very public crimes? How many people died under his watch? Millions I would bet.
comment in response to
post
But if killing that one person saves many perhaps it can be justified. I would rather see him charged with murder than murdered. But not unhappy that maybe some of the other CEO’s are looking over their shoulder and contemplating life choices.
comment in response to

And yet, Blue Cross announced that same day they would limit coverage for anesthesia during surgery, reversed after the CEO of United was murdered. No amount of legitimate outrage would have worked as well. United Health has a disgusting rate of rejection. He should have been on trial for murder

Weird that Trump supporters main defense is they don’t believe what he says. I want a president with integrity who doesn’t lie constantly. But that’s just me.
