A dark thought: SURELY they aren’t doing something insane like translating the text in real time, right

Ehhhh...Odinsphere is still peak Vanillaware beat em up imo. All killer with that game's combat and the remaster makes it even better.

Looking forward to when you play Dragon's Crown and have to deal with its Diablo-esque loot.

I am surprised how few people seem to have seen this sentiment. I think I see reviewers talking about the series as this throwback all the time.

You know, I see where you’re coming from with the character interactions, at least with the stuff between Mythra, Pyra and Rex

Ahh I see. In my head I just associate that style of wings with ZoE

Was this based on that scrapped Zone of the Enders 3 concept?

Personally I felt the opposite. Outside of the live service projects, they seem pretty focused on building upon the PS4 strategy, making sequels to those games. I guess the luster just isn't there considering these aren't new series.

I would also ad that Playstation's developers tended to reinvent themselves with every gen, often out of the developer's own will, which I think is neat in its own way. Some Nintendo developers do dabble in new series and whatnot but they do tend to stick to their guns and innovate within a series.

I think you can argue that's mostly true until you reach the PS4 era, where their output condensed into the "prestiege" single player game.
I think the main reason for this is that Playstation branches in America, Japan and Europe all had their own cultures, but that structure ended with the PS4.

Huh, that’s really odd.
Specially because I played an imported copy of Muramasa from Hong Kong (I assume) and it worked fine. Never expected this to be an issue.

Wait, you NEEDED a dedicated Vita memory card for imports?

Yeah, its pretty straight forward. I have had PSP and PS1 games given for me free since I bought them 15 years ago.

Yeah, that was real weird. I was for once sure they would reveal a Bloodborne anything this time
