If the US government requires passports for you to practice your rights such as voting then passports should be provided for free to all and within a reasonable timeframe by said government.

I marched in a big city today, depicted in photos by an indistinguishable sea of people, which has beauty in its magnitude. Our small town protesters, though, rallied while their actual neighbors, relatives, grocery clerks, and co-workers drove by and saw them. That’s how we change hearts and minds.
