Sometimes it could be totally gone too! In the case of my facility, however, streaming services aren’t an option, so a lack of physical media becomes an even bigger accessibility issue for these populations even if technically accessible for others (for a price).

Yes! She loves running in the field any day but especially the rare times we get snow!

I’ll admit it was quite weird waking up to snow here in North Georgia! (I got lucky it was my day off anyways)

I like to send people this map of the percentage of Black population in each US county (2020 data but shouldn't be significantly different now). This is who "anti-racist allies" are condemning to suffering.

Librarianship is like 90% white and cis women. Many of them are just as bigoted as the rest of the country. Many are very happy about book bans and the shift toward fascism. Many will happily stigmatize and ostracize unhoused, trans, BIPOC, and other vulnerable and marginalized patrons and staff.

The only (potentially) good version of this would be identifying gaps in community care that would help reduce crime rates: job opportunities, mental health support, etc.

We're not going as large-scale as public libraries do, but I already have many patrons who are excited about this challenge. I'm especially looking forward to our weekly crafting classes this month (showing ways to DIY bookmarks and teaching about the value of crafts in our lives).
