And there's so much of that in family fare these days that it has worn extra thin. It's not distinct anymore.

I haven't seen a trailer, but I'm not surprised 😢

Or forced awkward/"adorkable" stammering and excessive quippiness.

I see far fewer movies nowadays but even many that I like have at least a few lines that are just painfully forced and vapid. Others are so badly written in WE ARE SO HIP modern speak that it ruins them

Had to like this on both platforms

I try to avoid that seeing/not seeing a movie should be "embarrassing," so I'll disregard that bit, but I am excited you get to experience it for the first time! 🦈

2. Movies: The Music Man, The Godfather, and Some Like it Hot. 3. TV: The Honeymooners, The Andy Griffith Show, and Seinfeld Plus a whole ton I discovered because my parents got The Disney Channel when I was 2.

There were books around. Both of my parents read them, gave me books for Christmas and birthdays, and took us to Borders all the time. If we had an interest, hey, why not find a book about it?

You get movies like Frozen trying to do so many things that the pacing feels too slow, and also the runtime seems too short to adequately deal with everything they tried to pack in. Simplify! Simplify!

Goodness yes on runtimes!! Obviously a lot of this is subjective, I'd venture a guess that the percentage of "very good - great" Disney movies that run 75 - 90 minutes is higher than that of those that go much longer.

I look forward to reading this. I'd also like to see some greater simplicity of story ... Something easy to recall and get the main beats down in a Little Golden Book. I think they've tried to "do too much" in some recent years with mixed results.

I acknowledge 0 Jurassic anything movies after 1993.

I also did Universe of Energy a ton. I can't remember if that included my last Epcot visit (that was July 4 and so focused on World Showcase), but still.

A salute to all the waiting area gags, but mostly A Net Full o' Jello.

Checks out based on his book... Ugh, I dislike him.

This one and "Don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next product" are depressingly evergreen.

Doing it right!!

This'll ruin the tour.

I'm also bothered that, if the exclamation point must be there on the clock, it isn't clearly inside the quotation marks.

Agreed. My younger cat is still pretty convinced he is either a kitten or a tiger. He has no sense that there is any sort of in-between.

I've watched the YMS minutia breakdown of Lion King, but not the movie itself, so I'm intrigued.

This is very validating, both to know I'm not the only one confused in my youth by this, and to see how it actually still all checks out. 😊

I hate to bash something that overall brought me a lot of good, but I blame a lot of my youthful confusion on this matter on American Girl, which described Samantha's era as "Victorian" when her books were set in 1904.

Yes! And Stitch malfunctions and creates challenges for Lilo in a hula competition she wants to win to honor her mom. It's legitimately good. Even the art is lovely. More Elvis songs.
