Add in a lot of things that have happened to break my confidence and it’s a powder keg of roiling emotions. Plus when you’re shy but also have a big personality it can be difficult to figure out what parts of yourself you want to let show through with all that going on.

Not so much advice as offering another perspective, but I have been on the other side of this. Sometimes it’s difficult to break past extreme social anxiety in person. For me, I’m in the dating pool again for the first time in over a decade and I wasn’t great at it before…
