I keep seeing all the gifs and I’m fascinated by this show I’ve never seen lol. Is this a show where I can just jump in to season three or would I need to start from the beginning? Like, would I be missing a lot?

I don’t think that’s bad…that would make me feel so weird! Also recently I’ve been getting a bunch of messages on FF that are all the same like, “I love your fic and would love to make some art based on it for a fee, message me!” Which just seems weird and scammy.

Maybe the ability to instantaneously communicate with everyone I know and lots of people I don’t has some weird damaging effects on the brain who knows?

Also I love Stephen King and also also tag me literally any time for anything, especially when it comes to talking about books!

I hope you like it! My friends and I loved Remarkably bright creatures and still talk about it! And I thought Gone Girl was different enough from the movie to still be surprising in some ways!

So in conclusion: fantastic writing, great smut, beautiful characterization, complicated people having complicated feelings, such a fun story and I’m not even finished! I get to keep enjoying it! Please read this.

Also, the way a character suffering from a lot of trauma which has fundamentally changed the way her brain works is written so lovingly but also so relatable? Like, yes girl, I also go from feeling pretty in a dress to screaming about how the things that happened to me weren’t fair.

Second: the writing style. So good. Seamless. Beautiful. Poetic. I feel like I’m reading a novel. I’ve never once read a second person fic like this so I thought it would be hard to make the adjustment but nope. Not really hard at all. Especially considering the writing is just so GOOD.

Right? I used to post to FF.net and there were parts I liked about it but also you couldn’t delete awful comments!

Also blocking people. And ignoring them. Those things are great too, and strategies I used to employ liberally when people with opinions tried to argue with me about ridiculous shit. But mostly that first thing 😅

I never gave much thought to octopuses until I read Remarkably Bright Creatures and now I love them! I just read the cutest octopus book to a kindergarten class last week about an octopus named inky!

“Me and the other fruitcakes were confused” is a sentence that I don’t think will ever leave me 😂
