The one thing that makes me doubt this is the fact that Ms. Block has yet to respond to one msg I have sent (and I have sent several) related to the 345 km of asbestos cement water pipes in Saskatoon. Not a good look. #ACpipes @lhubich.bsky.social

Funny, I have been asking the exact same question of Cllr Tsiklis for the past few months now. Glad you are catching up Paul. Approx 98% of George’s ward is serviced by old asbestos cement water pipes. Pls ask what he has done. Thank you.

Sadly yes. It’s time for Regina residents to wake up!

I can assure you that no one was paying attention to another CSIR back in the day either. Same acronym. Much more serious problem.

Dealing with the 600 km of old asbestos cement water pipe is pretty much a clean slate. So there’s that. Lots of room for improvement.

Canada is too far behind in this, it’s concerning to say the least

The ongoing breaks, potential of break frequency increase and the health risks should all point to replacing the water pipes now.
Critical path.

I’m shocked one of the newbies didn’t mention the 600 km of old asbestos cement water pipe in Regina, and a real plan to replace it. @shane555.bsky.social

So, these people just purchased a Cybertruck from the fella in the red cap? Hope they got a warranty. #2025 #buckleup

I can’t help but wonder about the old asbestos cement pipes which still deliver water to millions of unsuspecting people around the world? @shane555.bsky.social

I would make one slight, but very important change to the post above.

I am very excited to work with this cheerful bunch to finally get some action on the 600 km of old asbestos cement water pipes. See ⬇️ the new and old Cllr’s who know a lot about his issue. #yqrcc

It took years for society to accept that asbestos was a toxic hazardous substance when breathed into the lungs. Now it’s recognized as the cause of more work related deaths due to asbestosis and mesothelioma than any other workplace hazard. Asbestos cement water pipes is a ticking time bomb.

The reason for legal action in the U.S. is because asbestos is regulated in American water. We don’t even have that protection in Canada. Health Canada will tell you that drinking asbestos is 👍 . The study👇🏼 is recent. Very recent.

Ask yourself why law firms across the U.S. are suddenly talking about asbestos in water and asbestos cement (AC) or Transite water pipes? @lhubich.bsky.social @tammyrobert.bsky.social

The minister has a fascinating interpretation of the auditors findings. Some might call it complete horseshit.

Wait until 🇺🇸 finds out 🇨🇦 doesn’t regulate asbestos in water. The U.S. EPA has regulated asbestos in water since 1992. It’s in the water pipes.
