If this column's illustration were a political cartoon, it should get an award. Pretty much sums the MAGA mindset to a T. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Some Senior VP at Target: Sir we thought The Blacks (TM) would let this go and come back but they haven't come back. They haven't come back sir! CFO: The line must go up, but it keeps going down! CEO, wearily removing glasses: It's time SVP: Sir, you don't mean-- CEO: Get me Al Sharpton

Today is National Library Workers Day—a day to celebrate the hardworking professionals who keep our libraries thriving. Library workers are facing tough times, and it’s more important than ever to show our support. Show some love to the library worker in your life today! ala-apa.org/nlwd/ #NLWD25

So, after submitting to the Trump administration so hard that a safeword was probably utilized, Columbia's president resigned. The new president is a journalist. Usually, I would see this as a sign of hope, but it's not like the media industry hasn't also been bending the knee.

So fucked up. Stefanik, you shouldn't put up with this betrayal and quit.

I can 100% prove to you that Musk either doesn't know what he's doing at DOGE or chaos and destruction are, in fact, the point.

Watch this with a glass of brandy, my fellow Bolshevik fucks. It will help the harsh truths go down easier.

This will probably happen for Seattle Pride as well. Shame on the so called 'Pinkwashers' but we're probably better off without all the corporate bs. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Trump does not think. Trump wants Canada, a country with a population of over 40 million people, to become "the 51st state." If Canada were a US state, their congressional delegation would be at least 50 reps deep. It would be the 2nd largest delegation, 2nd only to California.

Also, if Trump wanted the shutdown, would he not advocate for one? No public statements, no private talks. Even he knows a shutdown would impead his agenda and look (more) poorly on him.

Welp, Schumer blinked. Although I understand his rationale, it's based on an old rulebook that should have been discarded months ago.

This are the on 14 Congress people I will ever consider giving money to. It's telling that my Congress person, Pramila Jayapal, who is supposed to be chair of the Congressional freaking Progressive Caucus is on on this list. AOC too but I hope there is a good reason for her not signing.

I am absolutely convinced that Trump wants to continue the tariffs in order to build his sovereign wealth fund. I would put money on the table about it (when watch Trump try to take it 😂)

Explain that in court.

President Trump honors a child with cancer at the same time that, according to St. Jude, his NIH cuts will “likely mean fewer new treatments will be developed for children and, therefore, fewer children will be saved.”

If Bruce Harrell loses his reelection this may be why.

I can't help but think of Micheal Lewis' "The Fith Risk" when reading this article. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Watching 'Zero Day' on Netflix, and I have to say the series fascinates me. I doubt the series writers and producers knew the result of the 2024 election before it started filming, but they were at least hedging their bets. This show is almost over-engineered to be centrist.

I remember when Ziff-Davis hosted a future-looking series of conferences in the late 90s called 'The Next Twenty Years.' I wonder how they would have reacted back then if someone forecasted they would have to be censoring themselves and kowtowing to crypto-fascists. www.404media.co/ziff-davis-d...

Never in my life did i think that NSBE would become a subversive organization. Like, what in the actual fuck. www.blackengineer.com/news-2/seven...

Now this is cute. Bad baby

I feel a lot of things Musk is doing and why fans of Musk are cheering him on is based on both having a non-complete idea about cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is not an aspiration, it's a warning. youtu.be/FGhsEADnbOU?...

The following is something I said in a work meeting today. "I am a year away from being old enough that the seniors in my high school when I was a freshman will be turning 50. I am a year away from being a freshman at middle age high school".

Wikipedia is holding the line 🫡

Musk and DOGE are hitting the Pentagon next. I still think all this is next-level bad, but I'll conveniently dial back my outrage on this one 🤷.

If you think companies won't exploit the current chaos happening in DC think again. Amazon shame on you. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/02/06/whole-foods-cites-trumps-nlrb-purge-as-grounds-to-reject-union-win.html

I suspected that the DOGE robbery of government-stored data was to fine-tune a large language model. Musk's goal for creating such a system shows both an almost cartoonish cynicism of the US government and the overpromotion of AI products as a solution to everything.

Wired is doing Pulitzer prize level reporting right now. https://www.wired.com/story/trump-aides-concern-musk-takeover/

Rich but unhappy. Thanks, Capitalism 👍 www.nytimes.com/2025/02/04/b...

Something strange is happening at this year's Grammys. People who deserve the awards are getting them.

Dear America: Why are you tripping? Girl, I was playing about all that. You overreacted. - The Trump Administration www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Fam, do you remember the 'Battle of Wakanda' scene in Avengers: Infinity War, where thousands of Thanos forces sounded the shield protecting the Golden City, testing for weaknesses? That has been the Trump administration for the past 48 hours. The executive orders are the Outriders.
